Internet Marketing Podcast Show Now 21
Dare I say this is yet another highly controversial PG 18 internet marketing podcast, next time I am playing some deep mediation music and giving the world a hug, but for now there are something that just need to be said.
So here is this week’s podcast, with lots of “beep outs”, because I hijacked the “Name and Shame” section of the show tackle (OK more like assault) what most people are doing wrong when it comes to email marketing.
Take a listen, enjoy and don’t forget to comment (you’ll see we have a brand new intense debate comment system installed, so don’t be scared to try it)

Thanks Werner, as you can see this threaded comment thing work quite well, by the way when are you going to update your comment image? All you need to do is upload a gravitar at http://en.gravatar.com/ and attach it to the email address you use to comment, I think its a nice touch that we can all see who we are dealing with, don't you?

Well I will try to tone down the language but …. I will need to be in a place of ZEN whilst doing the podcast then maybe, just maybe I might get it right? LOL

E-mail, set-up through to capturing opt-in's when you eventually sell.
Wish I had done an auto-responder before even worrying about a blog. Just get a good feel of markets, join forums, join uTube, Twitter, Facebook and Stumble Upon – get to know what people are looking for and make contact, source what people are looking for before you set off with a blog..and then hit the brick wall.
Really looking forward to webinar on email system setups. Thanks Guys – and enjoy the weekend.

ZEN < see if you can google a local zen garden (and I am not joking) and lets record the next one there (more home work) but for real, maybe I will be more inclined to like love the world and less inclined to act like a sailor fresh off the boat… lets to do it!

The electronic cigarettes work extremely well – haven't smoked in over a month. This is one product i am enjoying selling because it works .
So put that in your pipe and smoke it – lol

Haha! I think I got the uncensored version of the podcast.
FYI: Interesting recent list of the "Hall of Shame" of the top spammers in South Africa, released by The Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA):
http://www.ispa.org.za/spam/hall-of-shame/
The only way to stop spammers like these, is to report them. We all need to do so.
As for proper mailing lists, there is only really one way to do it properly, and that is aweber.com . (sure there are others, but this one delivers, and will ensure that you don't ever step over the line and end up being labeled a spammer).
PS: digg the name and shame this week Justin, SO true!

Hey Guys, great show!!!
I must say that I'm starting to really look forward to these Pod Casts – keep up the awesome work!!!
On the subject of this show – you've put forward some genuinely tangible and useful information so that I can start off on the right footing. Thanks for mentioning the sticky subject of SPAM….. I mean do some of these people not even know that there are laws that prohibit this sort of behaviour? Companies pay good money to have Anti-Spam services and still these guys keep going. The stats regarding legit emails vs spam are alarming.
And, I totally agree with the points made regarding the opportunistic “First-Timer” internet marketing help guide compilers that want to sell their makemerichreallyquickly.com drivel…laat hulle gaan kak in die bossies…..
I’m looking forward to the webinar ….
Heath

Hi Heath, glad to hear you are finding value in the podcasts. We try and keep it as informal as possible because I believe people are more receptive to new information if it is shared in a light hearted way.

Free is no longer the magnet it used to be, it has to provide value to the person.
Email must be used as an invite to the site, otherwise you are seriously looking for trouble, even if you have full opt in authorisation. Gain trust in your emails, and then offer them a place to go it they are keen – but don't sell anything in emails.
