What a crazy week
* First, my Facebook account got suspended
* Then, someone cleaned out my business bank account
* And today I subbed my big toe – it’s totally swollen!
…. And the worst part is I am just 2 days away from my 30th B-day – that’s one heck of a present!
Is it a conspiracy, or is the universe telling me something?
Not exactly the kind of week that makes you smile right… but you know what, I AM still smiling…
Do you want to know why?
I have long since learnt that if you get your knickers (or boxer shorts) in a knot, chances are you’ll just make matters worse than they already are.
Call me crazy, but I do believe that if you go around being all morbid and angry, you’ll just attract more of the same.
You see, I know a thing or two about being down and out, I know what it means to have to odds stacked against you… and this… phuh… this is just an inconvenience.
So while Facebook hopefully comes to their senses (I am sure they will) and my Bank figures out that there is no way I can be in 6 places at the same time, swiping my card like I have a mid life crises (Vegas Style)…
… I’ll be spending tonight in the company of good friends and surrounded by the people I love most… sipping on some of South Africa’s finest red wine whilst nursing my big toe.
You see, I have long since learnt that my attitude to the challenges that this life throws at me, is really what makes the difference between being happy VS unhappy.
With that said, I have just about had enough of this week, so I am outta here.
Have a pleasant weekend, and remember to smile

sorry to hear of this little setback- but hey! as you so philosophically put it, this is just another “minor challenge”. congratulations on reaching 30- the “serenity Prayer” sure helps me. Keep well.
