What the heck am I doing?

For the past two weeks I have had my head buried in the sand working on a “Top Secret” project which is just about to hit the online space like the landing of a kulula trainee pilot at OR TAMBO (in case you wondering that is hard and fast).

However in-between all of the mayhem of packing the quad bikes and gear for a 5 day trip into Lesotho (BRRR its gonna be cold), and preparing for one of my biggest project launches ever, I somehow have still managed to do some brainstorming around Social Networking and Marketing, and I have a ton of great content lined up for you in the weeks to come.

So here is the deal, I am off to explore the mountain kingdom (Lesotho) from Friday through till Wednesday next week, after which my wife and I are going to spend a few more days away at the Lost City (our very own Las Vegas) being pampered whilst taking in a few cabaret shows and dropping a few coins in the old one arm bandit (even though gambling aint my thing).

This means that I will have made ample use of the ridiculous amount of public holidays granted to our republic, and will return to head quarters on May 05 2008 rejuvenated, invigorated and full of fresh perspective.

But before I head off, I wanted to quickly invite you to join me on my facebook and twitter profiles (if you don’t know what that is.. that’s OK I will explain this in weeks to come).

You can find my facebook profile at:

And you can find my twitter profile at:

Both of these provide a more personal and closer look at what I get up to away from the spotlight in business, so it should be fun.

See you on the other side!

    Hi Justin

Enjoy your quad bike adventure and mini “Las Vegas” trip, is sounds exciting. One needs some time to relax in between all the late nights.

I also just started following you on Twitter – nice :)

    Cheers

Hey Chris, yeah I have just seen you come on. I have had a twitter account for like the last year, but never really did anything with it until I found out I can do SMS updates which is really cool… so I plan to integrate that with the blog.

You might have also noticed your comment got approved on the spot, that’s because I have changed my comment moderation to allow posts from certain loyal contributors to get approved instantly… so that’s cool right?

So you must be getting excited about your trip hey?

Yeah, the auto approval is cool. I nearly made a double post because I only got a blank page after I submitted my first comment.

I’m very excited about my trip, can’t wait. Just worried about all the smaller details. Since this is my first overseas trip, I don’t know what to expect at customs, etc. But I know I will enjoy it – even though it’s not really a vacation as such.

BTW – I just had a small accident on a quad bike this weekend, nearly broke my arm. At least everything is fine now, just a couple of scratches. The quad is another story…
