Welcome to 2008

So it's already that time of year again, it's back to school for the kids, and back to work for the adults. So what have you got planned for 2008?

For the first time in as long as I can remember I have finally had a noteworthy holiday. I actually switched off my laptop, and ignored all the urges to check my email. Now that's a first!

Santa was also rather kind to me last year (OK I was spoilt rotten), delivering some impressive spoils, which went a long way to distracting me from my urge to work.

I can honestly say I have never felt this revitalised and reenergised in my entire adult life, and I have learnt a valuable lesson about taking down time.

For a workaholic like myself, down time has always been an unnecessary distraction from the objective, but I have finally learnt that down time is as much a part of the objective, as it is working towards the objective.

So no prizes for guessing that I have added some serious reflection time to my list of personal and business goals this year!

So 2008 is finally here … and I'm so revved up to go, I might just pop a piston. Really, I am so excited about this year, I can hardly contain myself. I just know that 2008 is going to be the most exhilarating year ever.

Look I know that you have to be positive at the start of a new year, but sometimes you get that nervous, butterflies in your stomach feeling that you used to get as a kid… then you know something special is on the boil.

I sat yesterday setting my personal and business goals (something I recommend everyone should do) and I have set the bar pretty high for myself and those around me, but you know what… I just know that anything is possible if you believe it is.

When I showed my goal sheets to my wife, her eyes welled up with tears, and the expression on her face said it all. It was a pure sense of pride and mutual belief that overcame both of us. It's going to be one heck of a year.

With that said, I wish you all the good grace, humour, success and love in 2008. I look forward to adding value to your life by sharing everything I know about Internet Marketing and building businesses online.

May 2008 inspire you to be a better person, to live with love in your heart and to have the conviction to know when to say yes, and when to say no.

Here's to us all in 2008.
