I’m so glad you mentioned virtual assistants. I am a VA and one of the things I stress to my clients is when you are freed from administrative tasks, you can do what you do best and not be mired in daily tasks that hold you back.
One really great product for those of you thinking of hiring a VA is http://tinyurl.com/26fbn8

The reason you didn't get paid for the product you bought through your own affiliate link is because PDC does not allow you to purchase through your own affiliate link. if you do, you will not be paid.

PDC has been having tons of server issues, and a certificate issue that has prevented visitors from buying from any PDC vendor the last two days.

Very VERY bad for business.

Well,

Things haven't changed much in 2 years. The PDC payment server is down as we speak.

Their security certificate expired yesterday.

There error messages have spelling mistakes.

And, as usual, no one bothers to keep us informed.

Use PDC with extreme caution is my advice.

Great article. I've been looking for interns but have not tested the waters yet. I did just partner with a company who is providing interns even more opportunity to act as decision makers for start ups. I apologize for not memorizing the URL but if you go to my hiring site: http://www.internetLABOR.com it has a link for interns to the partner company which is called Executive Interns.

Hi Justin,

I had the same thinking as you when it came to internships until I actually tried to recruit students from the business degree program at the college that I work at. I had a client who wanted a shopping cart constructed with a program that I was not familiar with and so I thought this would be a great opportunity for one of our business students for their project in their web design class. Unfortunately, I was hearing that none of the students would take their own time with no pay or little pay to have to "learn" something. They expected to be paid a top salary even though they had no experience. When you work on a college campus you see a different side to students. It's not like it was when we were young and just happy to get experience anywhere. If you aren't willing to pay top dollar for their time it's not worth it to them. Such a shame that they throw away great opportunities. Now I'm not saying all college students are like this--I'm just disappointed in the students at this college.

I recently registered with paydotcom and it was found to be much better than Clickbank. The greatest thing I found is that I don't have to wait for the clickbank cheque and it is very good for a beginner and also they allow to sell one product for free.

Hello Justin,

Looks like I am 2 yrs late to this party but I still feel obliged to vent my 2 cents worth! What is the point of having an advanced system fueled by good intentions and great concept that simply doesn't work? (Just ask all the frustrated BMW drivers about the onboard computer iDrive system).

Simply put if it doesn't work it is worthless, no matter the good intentions or concept behind it! That bottom line is the way I feel about PayDotCom...people may harp on about its advanced user panel and affiliate tracking system but all I simply want to know is that if someone buys a product through my affiliate link then I want my commission to be so registered!

PayDotCom from my experience has a shoddy track record of tracking my commission sales and in fact unlike Click Bank they appear to vanish dormant commissions into the great unknown (in other words my old pending referral commissions have simply disappeared...do they have a system that after a certain period of inactivity usurps people's commissions as its own (does PayDotCom automatically takeover dormant commissions after a certain period has elapsed?).

My big beef (explaining this post)was that 2 days ago I bought a digital product through my affiliate link from PayDotCom (only because I couldn't find it on Click Bank) and still have no confirmation of a commission!

This kind of tardiness can never be found at ClickBank!

I have contacted PayDotCom but I'm not holding my breath (I still want to live)...the fact that they make you jump through hoops such as re-registering to contact the support desk while you are already logged in evidently does not bode well!

In summary all I can say is...

Shheeeeeesh!
