Google has announced plans to put 1 GB fibre connections into more than 50,000 homes in the USA and I suspect it has something to do with wanting more of a push for cloud based services. For those of you who are still confused that’s up to 100 times faster internet access than American’s are already used to.

There have been rumours that PayPal is coming to South Africa and that they will be teaming up with FNB under their banking license to make this possible.

I know this post is going to upset a lot of people, but someone has to stand up and call a spade a shovel, so if you get offended maybe you’re in the wrong yourself…
As South Africans we are good at many things and this generally makes for a nation full of budding entrepreneurs, but it also this D.I.Y syndrome that is not only killing our potential, but slowly causing a rot within our industry.

Just over an hour ago I celebrated one of the biggest moments in my business career to date. I’ve been chasing this goal day and night for the last 11 years of my life and now it’s finally happened, and I thought you might enjoy some insights about what I’ve learnt along the way.
11 Years ago I made a promise to myself, a promise so unrealistic to others at the time, that I was the laughing stock of every friend and family member I had, but for the last 11 years I have stuck to my guns and chipped away 18 hours a day at my goal with sheer determination and relentlessness.
